Valentines...Primitive style...

Valentine's Day or Saint Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on Feb. 14. In the West, it is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionary. The holiday is named after two among the numerous Early Christian martyrs named Valentine. The day is most closely associated with the mutual exchange of love notes in the form of "valentines." Modern Valentine symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid.

I just found these prim valentines for your valentine tree from a local artist, you can meet here here: Pepper Creek Gatherings The heart with wings in classic cupid fare is hanging from a rusty wire, wrapped with cheesecloth and baked w/ coffee. $10.

I have had a crazy busy week with taking down Christmas in the shop, inventorying it, pricing new things and sprucing it up. Inevitably it looks bare in there after the trees and garlands come down, but I have a good splattering of new merchandise with much more coming in. Including new decorative wood plates, really fun ones... New plate holders and metal ware also. I'll post when they come in.

You will probably notice in the shop that the owner has a thing for candles. Or rather fragrance! I have a hard time passing by a new candle line! I have been carrying this line for 2 years now, and it is still one of my favorite! When you light an 1803 soy candle, it doesn't take long for your whole house to be filled with the wonderful aroma! Such a small candle with a big fragrance!

The hanging finials look wood, but are plastic. Mine have survived four winters hanging out in my porch. They also look awesome in an open staircase above the railing, or a doorway. If you don't have a Gooseberry Patch cookbook, they are packed with ideas for entertaining and cooking. Very fun! Reg. price; $18.

I have several different Christmas linen lines. Plaid, and one is a running goose quilt pattern.

I just returned from market with lots of new things for the shop! I also placed orders for spring floral and bunnies, and buckets, and baskets. I can't wait to get them in and share them with you!
