Where I Was

Scroll down to the next post for a few photos of
current merchandise...
Now. On to my story:

Last week I closed shop because my son-in-law
graduated from Air Force Bootcamp.
We flew down to San Antonio Wednesday and
returned the following Monday, March 7th.
This photo is of THE reunion.
It had been 8.5 weeks of mama and baby
without daddy.
We are so proud of him for enduring boot camp
and for all the changes we could see in him already
when we were there.
He is now attending a tech school where he will
learn the skills for his AF job.

San Antonio was 75 degrees...a welcome change of
temp for us! It was hard to leave knowing we were coming
home to snow. But it also felt good to come home
if you know what I mean. :)

Texas is not a state I would have chosen for vacation,
but now having been there, I'm so glad for the opportunity!
I enjoyed learning about history...
basked in warmth..

.
lived in luxury...
We visited the five missions including
The Alamo...which was celebrating its
175th anniversary last weekend.

*For more photos you can go to my facebook page
where you will see more mission photos, history
and the Riverwalk, which was wonderful in the sunshine!

  1. Kathy,

Congrats on your son-in-law's AF graduation. What a wonderful moment to experience with your daughter. Great pictures.
We enjoyed our trip to San Antonio a few years ago, but we weren't the brightest group...we were there in July. PAINFULLY HOT.
