Country Store and a Whole Lot More!!

I just restocked my candle supply. I am clearancing out my McCalls Candle line. It just hasn't been as popular as the Cheerful Giver line. So...these are the babies...I also have candle cups and a few of the two larger sizes left.
THEY WILL BE 30 % OFF UNTIL THEY ARE GONE!!
The very popular, and I will testify~effective!! reed diffusers from Crossroads.
If you have not tried these yet, you should! They fill the room w/ fragrance and last for at least 3 months. The boxed ones come with the rusty/removable star, the collar and the reeds. $20.
The refills are just the bottle and new reeds. $16.50.
The black metal holder (wonderful for stylin' and preventing spills) $12.

CHEERFUL GIVER...VERY FRAGRANT...VERY POPULAR! I ordered a new fragrance..."Beary Nice Spice"~ You'll love it! It is the one on the upper left~a warm, teddy-bear brown color. Restocked my 1803 line too! 8 fragrances~all wonderful! I have a hard time deciding what to order because she has such amazing fragrances. If you haven't tried this candle~it is very fragrant and clean-burning. $18. each. Isn't this a beautiful print? New treenware arrived! These are reproduction "wood" primitive bowls made of resin. They look like the real thing, and are made in USA! These are egg bowls. Wonderful for Easter to hold your colored eggs! Also great with angel hair vine and dried botanicals on a table with a runner underneath! Isn't this great? It is a treenware framed mirror. Several different styles that came in.

My Dining Room Wallpaper

Karen asked me to post a close-up of my wall paper in the dining room. Actually there is a story that goes along with my wallpaper. The room is so small, and the walls were...dull. I didn't want to go dark w/ paint, but wanted to do something different. So~ BEFORE CHIRSTMAS, ahem, (why would I do this before Christmas? The busiest time of the year for all girls, but mostly shopgirls!) Anyway...
I purchased the four rolls I thought it would take because I had SO many doorways and a window...NOT THINKING....about pattern repeat, cutting inches off ends...Soon after I started I realized I would be short. I had to leave the job sit for a little over a week-THAT WAS HARD!
Then I worried over if the color (dye lots) would match.
To my great delight, it did match, and I was able to finish it. The second order I ordered "too much" because I didn't want to leave my room a mess any longer, and it turns out I needed almost all of it!! Oh when will I learn that sometimes it isn't the best to be conservative (in certain situations!)
Gotta go unpack BOXES AND BOXES of new candles...Replenished my supply
of Cheerful Giver and 1803 Soy lines...many new fragrances~Can't wait!!

Here is a little peek @ my dining room from Christmas...it is a little room, so it's hard to get photos. The photo of the table is from the kitchen doorway. The cupboard is from the opposite direction. (on the right hand side while standing in the doorway)
I have neglected painting the green table black for too long. My husband made the table and the cupboard. The table legs were found in my in-law's barn, the top is from salvaged wood.
The cupboard was made from an old paint-can shelf we took from the barn in a former house. The doors we found in the same barn...It used to house my home~school materials. Now it has tons of catalogs for my business shopping...among other essential items :-D
The print on the wall is by Billy Jacobs. I have alot of his artwork in the shop, and can order any of his prints if you are intrested. I have never enjoyed an artists work more than his...

My House

The first hour is usually quiet on Saturdays, so I find myself sitting in my VERY WARM HOME today w/ my laptop open @ the kitchen table where I can see if anyone drives in.
Please Please don't ever feel bad that I come out of the house when you drive in, I spend most of my spare time in here during the winter months because my floor in the shop is concrete and I get too cold sitting there. I usually am in and out all day on the days I am open.
Many people have indicated curiosity over seeing the inside of my house~I totally get that because I would love to see yours!!
. I have had a "dream" to have a house tour at some point, but we still have many unfinished things in our house which I thought would be done by now...ahem.
My dear husband is quite the guy. He can do anything. Really, he can. It is a blessing.
but you know...
It means his interests are spread far and wide, so if he "leaves" one, he starts "another" and the first one sits...and sits...and sits...
Dale (that is my d.h.) began our married life as a diesel mechanic, then went on to being an automotive mechanic. His career move is an interesting story...A construction company hired him to work on their trucks. Sometimes he was needed on the concrete crew, other times he found himself in the cabinet shop...by this time, we been crafting with wood already, so it was a natural course for him it seemed.
Eventually he had his own construction & cabinet business (yes, he builds cabinets & furniture). When that went south because of expenses and employee issues, he joined the carpenter's union and has been building commercial construction ever since. His first being the Excel Energy Center in St Paul where he was there for the famous "big flush"!
All that plus his hobby-farming, mechanical pursuits (with our mechanically~minded son), and our home (inside and out) and our ever-changing yard...
No~he never slows down. Last year he supervised an addition on our church too!
So...I wait for the trim in our kitchen, in our guest bedroom upstairs, all upstairs windows to be trimmed, doors to be changed (we have new doors from a remodel he did a few years back).
But I cannot complain to him or manipulate him (though at times I have contemplated a scheme or two~what woman wouldn't? lol) to get it done, because what he is doing in the meantime in mentoring our son will be priceless for Ethan in going through college and falling back on in the future. He has disassembled and reassembled a truck already.
All that to say, I am thinking of doing some home photos on my blog where I can have "mini~home tours"...stay tuned :)

Well, since it is still FRIGHTENINGLY COLD in Northwestern WI...
***********************************
We are all still looking forward to spring. I am reordering already,
but still have floral, baskets and bunnies for you to
browse...Next week I have a show to go to so I will find
more new things. I love the shows verses the catalogs because
I can see merchandise in person.
If you come out to the shop this weekend, I am offering 20% off
my reed diffusers. If you are a reed~diffuser user (like that?~lol)
you can come in and stock up. I need to place an order.
I will also offer 20% off any remaining 1803 soy candles.
I was out of town last weekend, so my daughter Kayla
watched the shop. Thanks to all who came out! I had no complaints
of her being bored while I was away!
